New project announcements

LF Europe welcomes a new project: Open Mobile Hub. Designed to streamline mobile application development, Open Mobile Hub (OMH) brings a unified, open source framework and adjacent suite of SDKs and tools to simplify the development process for mobile devices. This is the latest project hosted by LF Europe, marking another milestone in our commitment to fostering open source innovation.

Born out of a desire to reduce complexity and accelerate the development of mobile applications, five leading organizations in the mobile technology sector, including Futurewei, Squid, Meetkai, BharOS, and Amaze, have come together to form the OMH project. Become part of this effort to transform the mobile industry!

LF Research: A new report + three surveys in the field

Latest publication: The 2024 State of Tech Talent Japan Report

The survey findings from our Tech Talent 2024 study were segmented by Japanese respondents and analyzed in this report to capture a focused perspective on talent management amid the unique challenges faced by Japan's IT industry. Read the full report for a detailed analysis of the Japanese technical talent market!

We have three surveys in the field, and we’d like to hear from you!

Are you a developer? Tell us what resources you need to grow your career! Intel and the Linux Foundation are partnering on a project to capture how developers rank events, training, mentorship, research, and other career opportunities. The insights from this survey will help organizations best allocate resources for their developers!

Do you work in financial services? LF Research and FINOS are conducting the fourth annual study of the finance industry’s use of, contribution to, and participation in open source. This yearly data is crucial for decision-makers to build strategy that supports open source adoption and innovation.

The TODO Group and Linux Foundation Research, in partnership with Cisco, NGINX, OSI and InnerSource Commons, and CHAOSS are excited to launch the 7th annual Open Source Program Office (OSPO) survey! This year, we are building on the history of our research to understand how more established OSPO practices compare to newer ones, the impact of OSPOs when it comes to software sustainability, and how they influence and support security measures.
